I don't hunt around cattle that much but I can remember having good luck a few times in close proximity to them. IMO the most frustrating thing about cattle is their tendency to obliterate game sign, for that reason I prefer to avoid them. I don't like listening to them while I'm hunting and I don't like sifting through their tracks and poop while trying to find game sign.
