I've used 1.5x25 Leuopold on multiple rifles, I find the light gathering at dawn and dusk better than 3x9-50 at short ranges, most deer and moose are shot closer than you one might think.
Sitting in a stand an animal at 50 ft. is much easier to find in your scope with the wide field of view
