hey brain child would you spend big dollars on a rifle for your wife the first year she was going to hunt just to have her decide she wasnt into hunting. The 710 was used one year and she is now packing a Remington model 7 w/synthetic stock and a 4200 scope in 7mm-08(and I dare you to come out shoot her) and the 710 rides around on my tractor. For your info I shoot a Browning x-Bolt in .270wsm.
Oh and she probably did better with her 710 than most guys did last year.
