The problem lies in what people think barrel cleaning is.
They think if they see a shiny bore with no signs of lose crud visible by looking in the bore with the naked eye, then voila it’s a clean bore.
Those of us who have had top end rifles, shot in extreme conditions or competitions, or have had access to optical bore scopes, have seen what using the proper potions and lotions with proper jags and brushes can bring.
Inexperience and naivety rule supreme in these threads.
