No one can say anything to you to make you feel better. I am so sorry to hear of this, and although we have never met, feel as though one of my brethren is in for a hefty battle.
One thing I will say is do your best to stay absolutely positive! We had an older fella at work get the same prognosis a few months ago, but he was told 4 months. He is still around and kicking and just came back to work after his cancer went into remission. The mind is absolutely a POWERFUL thing and I truly believe a positive attitude is the first step in the road to recovery.
YOU WILL GET BETTER! I believe it, now you must believe it. Hug your family everyday, smile, and just know in your own mind you will beat this man.
