if you choose to believe in the Bible, and Moses and the 10 Commandments, how many of those 10 are no longer valid.

Now I know this is a fairytale, that these were handed down by a supreme being called 'God',

And these were to be followed or else feel the wrath of God, right?

what became the blue print for the Magna Carta.
Yet every one of these continues to be broken until this day.
Puny humans disobeying the word of God and we expect a government to do better?
Can't even listen to a supreme being.
Maybe that "Forgiveness' crap needs to be looked at again.
If God existed, and was actually in control and stood before someone in 2019 and tried to hand down a revision of those laws, the people would lose their minds in exactly the same way as people do now when governments or police try to do their jobs.
No matter what we are still going to have the stupid people in the world.
And it's those people, not anyone in a uniform or political office who are a fault.
But we chose to have law and order, and we have the people in uniforms and political office to create and enforce those laws.
And they do what we want, and we get upset when they actually do it?
not saying they don't make mistakes, because your dam right they do.
But the people keep making the same mistakes over and over again.
So what are they supposed to do?
