Trying to get any information on these two types of rifles. Hoping the experience of the forum might help me out. I'm looking at a .243 for 2 reasons, to keep the hounds at bay on the acerage and also as a first gun for my son after he upgrades from the .22. Also where can you get a marlin anyways? I know I can pick up a ruger at cabelas and wholesale.
