Aluminum no question.
I trapped and guided with 14' Jons and canoes for years, fantastic boat style.
I also have a small Sportspal , but a job is the absolute best .
You can even car top them .
For a dedicated trapping scow, a 10 or 12' Jon is pretty tugs to beat
