There are maybe 4 prostaff - original, 2, 5 and I think the 7 now. the first 2 are in the budget category and lack some features for sure but the 5 is quite a step up , real close to the monarch's.
I have a 3-12 monarch on an 8 mag in Talleys and it's nice and have a handful of the pro 5's, a older titanium and original prostaff. If weight is no concern then they are excellent choices, +1 for Nikon.
