I bought a penn battle 2500 and while I love the reel I wish I had gone to the 3000 just for the extra line capacity. The 2500 is better if you have small hands, as evidenced by the fact that my wife loves it too and now refers to it has her reel.
I spooled mine (now hers) with 20lb power pro slick 8. I didn’t think I could like anything more than original power pro, but I got the slick 8 on sale and it’s so smooth through the guides.
