I run 6.5 X 47’s with a small primer and they work fine. I think the Creed case will take about 2 - 4 gr more than the ‘47 .... so doubt that the minuscule extra length of the powder column or small difference in powder volume make any difference in the efficiency of ignition. If I was buying Creed brass, I would try the Lapua with the small primer.
I have several actions, several barrels for each ... some cartridges have small primers, some large ... no problems with firing pins on mine.
