This the Peg Snare very simple but in the right hands deadly it consists off
1 24 inch Brass rabbit wire with a woven in eyelet formed into a 7 1/2 x 5 1/2
inch loop
2 A 10 inch figure 4 , 2.5 mill Galv Fence wire that we call a Teeler/support .
3 The rabbit wire is threaded through a hole at the to of the teeler and a simple knot is added to the bottom of the wire ,.This then forms a simple swivel
4 A7 inch hardwood peg is looped through the teeler and you are ready to go
5 The snare is then set out on a run /trail at a height of 6 1/2 inches from the top of the ground to the bottom of the loop........this distance increases if it is raining or the grass is growing, Doing this one man that i know caught 180 rabbits in 200 snares one night .
