When I say it is a factory 700 action and barrel are you saying the gun came originally as a 257 Bee. The reason I asked if it was originally a 270 or 06 is the feed rails on those are very different than on a 7 rem or 300 or 338 wm. The 7 rem follower is the same as the 300 am one. If the feed rails were not properly shaped the gun will never load and feed properly no matter what follower u try. The follower isn't the problem.
