I have hunted with a stick bow and wood shafts, I also uses composite or aluminum shafts sometimes, since I was 12 years old.
I tried joining a few special interest groups ( traditional archery and muzzle loading sites) as well as others but could not handle thee elitism and snobbery of many of the members let alone the overall " mine is the only way " attitude.
Archery is what it is and I have to agree with 58thecat
