My go to bird identification books are;
The Sibley Feild Guide to Birds of Western North America by
David Allen Sibley.
published by Alfred A Knopf
And;
Birds of Alberta by
Chris Fisher & John Acorn
Published by Lone Pine Publishing.
I have six other Bird reference books but these two provide more information and better illustrations then most and I use them way more then all the other books I have, combined.
