I would agree if thats all you are looking for, but if you what to be able to use this gun for all kinds of game and you do your own reloading the 30 378 offers a better selection of bullet weights. Even if you do not reload there is a better selection of factory bullet weight 130gr up to 225gr for the 30 378 were as the 338 378 I believe only comes in 200gr and 225gr for factory loads.
