Is it currently in hay now or are you thinking of seeding it down?If so how old is the stand? Many mole or gopher hills? Is this irrigated or dry-land?
What has it been yielding in the past?
If it's a decent crop fair value would be around $14/acre to cut and 10-$12 a bale to bale.
Not sure what area you are in or where you plan to market the hay but in many cases, especially if selling locally round bales are more desirable to ranchers. The big squares are more convenient and work well for long hauls.
