Just make sure you aren't going to get alerts for trees blowing in the wind, insects flying around, and snow falling. Unfortunately many of the consumer-grade security systems are terrible in terms of filtering out junk vs. something actually happening. If I knew of a decent priced system that was actually smart enough to detect a foreign vehicle or person then that would be a lot more useful. The technology should be there sooner or later, governments already have it.
