I went to little alum. cargo trailer converted myself to adventure pod for me and the boys, didn't want to be restricted to future tow vehicles and went alum. 6x14 so could get away with a 3500 lb tow vehicle if needed as empty trailer was 1800 tandem with brakes. But yes you need half ton then and that's really not a bad market to be stuck in for vehicle requirements anyway!
