I had a 20 inch slab on Monday so tried to estimate the girth before releasing and then at home looked up a site with a weight estimation calculator for trout.
14" girth 4.9 lb
15" girth 5.6 lb
16" girth 6.4 lb
No idea how accurate this might be, but then again a big trout is a big fish no matter the weight.
