A fantastic little cartridge. I am currently getting one built around a 1909 Argentine mauser action. Keep in mind that factory ammo far the "Bob" tends to be a little week. You must reload to get the most out of this round.
The 115-120 grain bullets pushed to 2800 fps make it a 400 yard gun for small deer and antelope. You would want to get a bit closer to them big prarie deer. The 115 grain solid copper offerings from Berger and Barnes would be my choice for moose and elk out to 250 yards. With the bigger game shot placement is more critical, get them broadside.
I'd like to take mine on a sheep hunt when it's ready to go, but it's gonna have an awfully nice piece of wood on it. Might take the 700 classic in 7x57 instead.
