I found an older Traeger on facebook buy and sell. Paid 250 for it. I have since upgraded the controller to the pro controller. The old controller's display was screwed, and the odd time had some temperature fluctuations. The new controller cured all of that. So I've got 450 into it.

Also, pick yourself up a wireless thermometer. I've got a thermopro, and it makes smoking super easy. Set the temp you want, and forget about it.

But I must say out of everyone I know that has pellet grills, they are all traegers.
