PSE made a carbon riser bow back around 1997 or so. I had one and it developed a stress crack at the front of the grip. PSE warrantied it by replacing the entire bow with their new top of the line aluminum riser MACH whatever as they quite making the carbon bow for about 20 years.
Never had trouble with a 2011 Hoyt Carbon Element other than I could not shoot it well in the year I used it.
