Never got the Magnum itch, aside for 44 Mag 629 S&W stainless in 6” barrel, for forestry work in remote areas. For rifles, M70 .270 has always been my go to rifle. Have shot buddies 7mmSTW, 300WSM and I’m good... enhancing the flinch not really on the bucket list.
Son bought me a B78 high wall in .243 and is the current pet, albeit not shot game with it just yet. Also have a Win 1994 trapper 44MagAE which is fun to mess with.
For my needs (North American Game), have never felt under gunned (.270) and the mix of booolets that are available now days I just don’t feel the need.
