Default new guns

Hunted with 358 norma and 338wm for many years before stepping back to the venerable old '06. Last year, shot my WT buck and cow moose with 7x57 and found shooting it very enjoyable. Did the job just fine (I still preach heavy-for-caliber bullets; 175 gr. in this case!). I am suffering from a torn disc, and now a messed up shoulder needing surgery, so a bit lighter gun is definitely more comfortable.
My 2019 general elk was taken with a .405 winchester, but that's kinda "on the edge" of magnumitis!
