Sorry FT, I was staring at the threaded barrels on my 22/45 and 22 wmr rifle earlier knowing I will never get to use them and I’m still a little butthurt about it. Maybe I’ll put brakes on them or something.
Anyway I like a lot of things about my Mark 3 22/45 but the takedown / reassembly procedure is not one of them, total pita. You have to set the hammer strut just so and hold the pistol oriented just right when you close the mainspring or it gets jammed up and you have a pistol you can’t cycle or get apart again. Fixing it involves bashing it on a chunk of wood or smacking the bolt with something until the strut falls into place. The Mark 4 is a redesign that changes things significantly, get one of those.
Otherwise it’s a great pistol.
