It may differ pending the choice you make. To carry on a RFMA it is to be used for dispatch , lots of questions why a handgun is needed and cannot be done by a rifle. Yes it has to be locked in a case during quading/sledding. Open carry in a hip holster off ATV/sled and lock up rules at cabin. Proficiency is shooting 10 out of 12 into a 2”circle at 3and 5 meters . You have three try’s to pass. Plus how you handle the gun during the shooting exam. First year is only one year and then need to re apply for 2 years max.
The protection one may have a different application questionnaire. If you can’t explain why you need a handgun to dispatch and can’t do it with a rifle it may not make sense. Again to apply for protection in the western side may be different.
