I get that what happened to Don was completely wrong, even though it is very clear to me when you actually listen to what he said that he was talking specifically about immigrants. What I don't get is why everyone is so p-oed with McClean (Not a Typo). If he stood up for Don and refused to apologise he would be gone to. He isn't 85 years old and ready to quit working. Nothing he could have done publicly would have changed the outcome and had he refused to issue the apology the owners demanded he would have been fired too. How many of you would be willing to lose your job and ability to take care of your family with an action or actions that would have absolutely ZERO impact on the outcome? Don saved his job, but nothing Ron could do would have saved Don's job. If Don wanted to keep his job he would have had to apologise and I get why he didn't want to do that. Luckily he is in a position to be able to choose.
