I won’t lie, I have bought many guns from cabelas, but every time, excluding one, I have been so sad to listen to them talk about guns. For $15/hr it must be near impossible to hire qualified people. Never mind allow them to mount my scope, worth a months wages. I will say this. At cabelas south I had an amazing experience and talk with a young gun guy. Remington, no joke, the guys name is Remington, at south Edmonton cabelas, is the best gun counter guy I’ve ever met. Go see him. To answer the OP, buy all your own equipment, and learn to do all your own gun related tasks. Would you hire someone to clean your rifles too? Mounting scopes is easy and lapping kits are not very expensive.
