I think that has more to do with cost than reliability.

My last Ford fleet truck was a 2013, and it went back to the dealership six times for warranty repairs. Transmission eventually gave out at only 54,000kms. It was absolute garbage. Since it was out of warranty (just), the fleet guys just decided to dump it at auction rather than fix it. My new Ford has been the complete opposite...problem free so far. It's weird how two vehicles - virtually identical in every way - can have completely different personalities.

I think with the way vehicles are manufactured these days, they are all about the same when it comes to reliability. Some are a little better or a little worse than others, but more or less the same. Drive both, buy the one you like better.
