There are a few still water ponds and reservoirs around Edmonton. Check the fishing regulations for stocked ponds in your area. I fish the Vegreville pond almost exclusively and find the fishing very good early spring just after ice out. You can either fish from shore or launch a small boat. There is also Muir Lake, Spring Lake and a few others for still water fishing. I much prefer still water stocked ponds to fishing streams and rivers, I take home my catch, since the fishery is a put and take, rather than catch and release.
