Definitely this person should be named. It may save someone else a headache especially if this guy is out there trying to 'sell' your gear on EE and once he receives a payment he takes it and runs.
At least, give out the initials to the guys name. I know before I do any deals on EE I request a picture of their ID so it would be easier to put two and two together.
