No...definitely repairable. Check Pyramid Airgun Blog and search the 618...lots of info on rebuilding them. The Slavia (CZ) are the Remington 700 of the airgun world...quality pieces with lots of aftermarket tuneup kits available.
Way better than any of the junk Princess Auto sells.
