The pandemic is allowing a lot of Albertans to discover their own province. So this is an economic development and diversification issue as their money can now help support a lot of smaller communities around the province as long as there are places to go.

Interesting that back in the 1960s, pre-oilsands, when Alberta was relatively undeveloped we could afford picnic shelters all over the place.
