Water temps
I am not sure about lakes, although if they are shallow lakes I am sure they would during prolonged hot spells. Currently there are low flow advisories out for the Oldman and Castle systems and they would experience higher temps. Last year, I took temp readings on the middle stretch of the Oldman and on the Crowsnest in late July, and the Oldman was running about 68 degrees. The Crow seems to stay cooler, probably because it runs out of crowsnest lake and that helps keep the water cooler in the heat of the summer. Always a good idea to check though.
