I have an old friend who's suffered from gout for years,always got a big bottle of pills to curb the pain but he refuses to give anything up especially his whiskey, says when that big toe starts swelling and oozing acid that he would love to shoot it off...my dad had this gout problem as well,suffered forever, but luckily for me I don't have it yet at 65 knock on wood, but I feel sorry for you guys cause I know gout is awful, all the best to you.
