Not true....bought a few bikes from Blackfoot cycles and they let me ride it, also have demo days etc that allow you to feel the bike...and your comment on the boat, well bought and sold boats too that were in the water for a test run, got me out on the water and wet a line too.
Too each their own though on how you go about a purchase or sale but if your standing beside a wrecked bike etc and no cash in your hand well we can only hope the gene pool stopped at you....
