It was an unspoken rule until about 5 years ago. Now everyone is following the rules.
I did think it was a pain at first, But all it takes is a little more planning.

Many Tks for the informative post, I thought the Act mainly applied to large birds such as Eagles, Falcons, Owls etc. not small birds like Swallows, learned something new today.

The two chicks departed the nest box this afternoon, the family hung around flying in circles and then moved on, took the nest box down, hope to see them back next year.

Notified the Town's P. Eng, the tree removal contractor can proceed accordingly.
