Hey guys, everyone knows the 30-30 is barely a deer rifle.
Now my 32 Special is a real moose rifle.
Seriously, on many forums folks will actually say a 30-30 isn't a deer rifle! I would use my 32 Special on moose but within its limits and when I happened to be carrying it and stumbled on a moose.
For a planned moose hunt give me my 444 Marlin. I benched it many years ago because I tried a 7MM Mag bolt. I sold that thing and carried the 444 for a few more decades. I'm always hoping to run into some old 215 grain Dominion 303 bullets because those were pretty good on moose 40 years ago before their fur turned to kevlar.
