Edmonton journal reported that this was a baby lion, only 35-40lb. It was by himself, no mama around him. The autopsy showed that it was healthy but with a small amount of fat. It was hungry, so it was a predatory attack. The guy was lucky that big momma wasn’t around, otherwise he would be a dinner for a family.
