Riddle me this Ken. If a policeman orders you to extinguish your cigarette while you are sitting in your car would it be considered a lawful order and failure to comply as an indictable offence? I saw just such a demonstration of police power when a video appeared on the television news portraying an officer kicking the turds out of a woman pulled over for speeding all the while proclaiming "When I give you a lawful order you WILL OBEY!"

A bunch of years ago- 40 or so, I worked as a doorman at a large venue cabaret. People would come from all over the city knowing there would be rowdy behavior even if they had to precipitate it themselves. The crew would get thrice yearly lectures from the constabulary on "excessive force" and believe me, if a 6'6" 300 lbs. 'bouncer' was to run across the room to tackle and thump a patron being escorted to the door in an effort to prevent his co-worker from getting hurt it would have been considered excessive and more than a few times the employee would face criminal charges for that treatment. How many times had the C.C.P. told us that a 'sleeper hold' was criminal and very hard to accomplish?

Add in a clearly pro-white agenda and I can clearly understand why a non-white citizen would believe that any encounter with a law enforcement type would be a frightful one.

I applied for the RCMP when I was 18 in 1985.
They were only hiring females, natives, or bilingual.
There was a 5 year waiting list.
I applied for LAPD and Texas Rangers. I was accepted to both.
I found out the life expectancy of an LAPD officer at the time was 5 years. Pass. Texas had no interest for me so I followed another path.

I took criminology in school, but was happy with my chosen career.

The frustration I have is the Crown not following through after the LEO'S give them cases. I am anything but liberal, I believe if you contravene laws you should suffer the consequences. Is that wrong to you?

If a LEO is doing an investigation during a stop and you are blowing smoke in his face, what do you think?

Comparing a Peace Officer to a 300 lb bouncer is quite the stretch. You know what a Police Officer is there for.

My 6'4 375lb uncle Bob worked at the Cromdale. In Edmonton His wrists were the size of most mens calves. A drunken loser pulled a handgun and shot at him one night. Bob wasn't hit but tore the man to pieces.

Should he have sweet talked the guy with the gun while he readied for the next shot?
