My 2 nephews both took their first couple bull or cow elk with their 243 using 95gr BST. Shots were between 60-125 yrds with perfect shot behind the front shoulders.
They have since upgraded to 270WSM's with 140gr AB's a couple years ago.
Wish there was a 100-110gr Accubond to reload with for the 243. The 243 is what my boys will be using when they start hunting. Maybe I can find a 260REM in a Sako m 75ss for another smaller caliber rifle so they don't fight over the 243.
