Ice is thick! 17-19 inches seems to be the norm. There are a few pressure ridges or what I like to call ice heaves and some are open and have wet areas. Little to no snow cover so people are enjoying taking their vehicles out onto the ice. As with any ice travel be careful, what was on your way out might not be the same on your way back…was out yesterday all over the lake and when I finally made my mind up where to hunker down well on my way back on the skidoo one area opened up for about 200 yards and there was lots of surface water so I went way around just to be on the safe side. Lakers were super aggressive yesterday throughout the day where I was fishing.
Enjoy your outing!!!
