Go to the last few years is my Winchester 1885 in 405 Win or 375 H&H. Or my Black powder cap and ball. Also have taken my scopes off and gone to vernier or peep sights if you like. After 35 years of the same old gun and scope, I am trying to get up and personal with big game now and find hunting to be fun again. Of courses I have seen the butt end of an animal dash into the bush a few times, but the chase was worth the loss.
