M1 Garand, when I first got in to hunting and guns they were relatively cheap could pick up a nice shooter grade for about $400bucks. This is in the mid 90’s. Then after afew good WW2 war movies came out like “The Thin Red Line and Saving Private Ryan”. The price of an M1 jumped to well over $1000. Now if you can find one expect to pay $1800 or more.

I don’t know how I made it through life with out shooting one for so long. Seriously they are the best shooting rifle I ever shot. I think it’s something to do with the 10lbs of forged steel and wood. It’s kind of like shooting a telephone pole, surprisingly accurate and forgiving to shoot.
