Looking to replace the stove at one of our rental units

Glasstops are coming down to be almost same price as coils .

So considering a glass top, as they are more modern/ current, whereas to me a coil , even a brand new one , seems kind of old fashion .

But saying that , I have concerns about possible damage to a glass top vs coil .

And the cost to repair .

In having rentals for over 40 years , we've had very few repairs on the stoves , and most of those were just a coil or element replacement etc.

Anybody out there in the business , that can shed some light on this ?
