Your shooting a compound? Is 150 grain the insert and tip weight? If so, at 50lbs and 30” dl or shaft length you’ll have no trouble tuning 400’s.

Back 10ish years ago I shot 70lbs, 30” DL and 200 grains up front with 340’s. They tuned perfectly. I could easily shoot bare shafts, fixed blade broadheads and field tips into the same group at 70m.

Couple years later I moved up to 80lbs. Now I shoot the same DL and 200 grains up front with 300 spine arrows and it’s tuned perfectly.


Give your rig a try, tip weight has very little effect on spine with FMJ or straight carbon arrows shot from modern compounds. Especially if your shooting a release. Wood shafts shot off the shelf from a longbow with fingers, yea tip weight matters a lot more.
