I think you are mistaken, they will grow up until the end of July. The hair hardens and the bases will get bigger and the tops will grow. They just don’t explode in growth like antlers do. Lots of times in October the sheathing is loose. So remember if you are dragging a pronghorn it’s best not to drag them very far as not only do you risk popping the sheath off, but you also risk damaging the hair.
