The pony express sticky, while a good thought and well intentioned idea, doesn't work all that well. I never think to check it when I am gonna go somewhere and when you need something, chances are someone going that way hasnt thought to post in there. I think a thread in general to get attention results in better traffic and likely a quicker solution for the one in need.
It is nice to see that some members are allowed to run their own thread and not be forced to use a sticky, that I would guess rarely works. Must be different tiers of membership here.
