We went with a guy out of sooke and it was the worst experience of my life. We caught fish but the guide was such a loser I would never step foot near his boat again.

I fished Sooke a few years back, we took our own boat down. Too many people for me, very crowded. The fishing wasnt that great either.
All in we paid Nootka 2000$ pp. That included boat rental, gas, meals etc. With flights from Edmonton to Comox, liquor, car rental and fish shipping we paid 3000$ per person for 4 days fishing.
August long weekend we were there. Lots of 25lb ers.
